Interleukin Genetics Files Form 10-K/A For Fiscal Year 2004

INTERLEUKIN GENETICS FILES FORM 10-K/A FOR FISCAL YEAR 2004

WALTHAM, MA – JUNE 30, 2005 – Interleukin Genetics, Inc. (OTCBB: ILGNE) today announced that it has filed a Form 10-K/A amending Item 8 and Item 9A of its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2004.  Item 9A in the Form 10-K/A includes management’s completed assessment of the Company’s internal controls over financial reporting as of December 31, 2004 as required pursuant to Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 (“SOX 404”).  Item 8 includes an opinion from Grant Thornton with respect to the Company’s financial statements and an attestation to management’s SOX 404 assessment as of December 31, 2004.

Also today, prior to filing the 10-K/A, the company received notification from the NASD rescheduling the hearing of its appeal of its potential delisting until July 14, 2005.  The Company believes that the filing of this Form 10-K/A will fully satisfy the SEC and NASD requirements under SOX 404.
