Interleukin Genetics NASD Hearing Rescheduled

INTERLEUKIN GENETICS NASD HEARING RESCHEDULED
Waltham, MA – JUNE 16, 2005 – Interleukin Genetics, Inc. (OTCBB: ILGNE) announced that the hearing of its appeal of the NASD’s determination that the Company’s common stock is no longer eligible for quotation on the Over-the-Counter Bulletin Board (the “OTCBB”) has been rescheduled. The Company’s appeal will now be heard on June 30, 2005. The panel is expected to render a decision within a few days after the hearing. Until the hearing, the Company’s common stock will continue to be quoted on the OTCBB with the trading symbol “ILGNE.” If the Company’s appeal is not successful, its common stock will no longer be quoted on the OTCBB and the Company expects that it will be quoted on the “pink sheets.”
The Company’s independent registered public accounting firm is continuing its review of management’s assessment of internal control over financial reporting as of December 31, 2004 as required pursuant to Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and there can be no assurance that they will issue an attestation of management’s assessment. Upon completion of this review, the Company will file a 10-K/A to amend Item 9A and the auditor’s opinion of its 2004 Form 10-K.
